PUBLICITY AND EVENT MARKETING
WE GIVE PEOPLE A REASON TO SHOW UP.
Big Mouth is an independent publicity and event marketing agency helping businesses, festivals, event producers and destinations turn good ideas into crowds, coverage and momentum.
We create reasons people want to come, build the campaigns that get them there and keep the conversation going after the event, opening or launch is over.
SOME OF THE PEOPLE WE’VE BEEN MAKING NOISE WITH.
OUR POINT OF VIEW
WE CREATE THE REASON, BUILD THE CROWD AND KEEP PEOPLE TALKING.
Good marketing starts with something worth marketing.
That is why Big Mouth does more than promote what already exists. We look at the event, business, destination or idea itself and ask what will actually make somebody want to pay attention.
Then we build the strategy around it.
01 / EVENT MARKETING & FESTIVALS
EVENT MARKETING & FESTIVALS
We help turn dates on a calendar into things people actually want to attend.
Big Mouth works with festivals, markets, grand openings, concerts, community events, activations and recurring programming. We help shape the concept, sharpen the positioning, grow the audience and build the campaign that gets people there.
Our work can include event strategy, campaign development, partnerships, sponsorship support, community outreach, audience growth, publicity and promotional planning.
We do not believe every event needs more advertising. Sometimes it needs a better reason to exist.
02 / PUBLICITY & MEDIA RELATIONS
PUBLICITY & MEDIA RELATIONS
Big Mouth finds the story, develops the angle and gets it in front of the people who can help it travel.
We work with businesses, founders, events and destinations to pursue meaningful coverage across regional and national media, including broadcast.
That can mean a television segment, business profile, launch story, event coverage, destination feature or a larger trend that puts an organization into a broader conversation.
The goal is not simply to get your name in the news. It is to use earned attention to bring more people into the story.
03 / DESTINATION PUBLICITY
DESTINATION PUBLICITY
People do not visit a place because somebody called it a destination. They visit because there is something they want to do when they get there.
Big Mouth works with downtowns, communities, resorts, venues, markets and destination partners to create and promote those reasons.
We combine events, local storytelling, partnerships, publicity and visitor-facing campaigns to help make places feel active, interesting and worth the trip.
Sometimes the opportunity already exists and needs a bigger audience. Sometimes the better answer is creating something new.
THE BIG MOUTH BELIEF
GREAT LOCAL IDEAS DESERVE SERIOUS MARKETING.
Some of the most interesting businesses, events and ideas are being built by people who are also answering the phone, solving staffing problems, managing vendors and trying to figure out what happens next.
Big Mouth was built for that world.
We believe independent businesses, local organizations and community-driven ideas deserve the same level of strategic thinking that larger brands expect from major agencies.
You do not need to be the biggest organization in the room. You should be building something people remember.
HOW WE WORK
WE START WITH THE REAL PROBLEM.
Sometimes a client asks for publicity when what they actually need is a stronger story.
Sometimes they ask for social media when what they really need is a better reason for someone to visit.
Sometimes an event does not need another advertisement. It needs a better idea.
Big Mouth starts by figuring out what is actually going to move the needle. Then we build the campaign, event, partnership or publicity strategy around that.
Because Big Mouth is independent, clients work directly with the person developing the strategy and doing the work. There are no layers of account management between the conversation and the execution.
BIG MOUTH INCUBATOR PROGRAM
YOU BUILT THE BUSINESS. WE HELP BUILD THE AUDIENCE AROUND IT.
The Big Mouth Incubator Program is an intensive marketing bootcamp for businesses that need more than another list of ideas.
Over one focused weekend, we dig into the business, its audience, positioning, marketing, publicity opportunities and what is actually standing in the way of growth.
Participants leave with a clear direction and a 90-day communications strategy built around the opportunities that make the most sense for their business.
This is not a generic workshop or a stack of templates. The program is built around the business, its audience and what the owner is trying to make happen next.

PRINCIPAL / SPENCER MACDONALD
THE BIG MOUTH BEHIND BIG MOUTH.

ROOTED IN COMMUNITY. FOCUSED ON GETTING PEOPLE THERE.
Big Mouth was founded by Spencer MacDonald, a communications strategist whose experience spans publicity, event marketing and community-focused communications. His work with chambers, independent businesses and destination partners has shaped a practical understanding of what gets people interested—and what gives them a reason to show up.
Event marketing sits at the heart of his approach. From festivals and markets to openings and community programming, Spencer connects the idea, the audience and the campaign. That can mean sharpening a concept, finding the story, building partnerships or helping an existing event reach more people.
As Principal of Big Mouth, Spencer works directly with clients from the first conversation through execution. He starts by understanding what they are trying to make happen, then develops the strategy around the opportunity—not a generic list of marketing tasks. There are no layers of account management between the conversation and the work.
Big Mouth is based in Central Florida and works with clients locally and beyond.
LET’S MAKE SOME NOISE
YOU HAVE THE IDEA. LET’S GIVE PEOPLE A REASON TO SHOW UP.
Whether you are opening something, planning something, growing something or trying to get more people through the door, tell us what you are working on.
You do not need a perfect brief. Send Spencer the idea, the problem or the thing you are trying to make happen.
We will start there.
